Introduction to Soap Making Workshop
Ever wonder how to make soap from scratch? This class involves demonstrations on making homemade bar soap using vegetable oils, lye and water, and learning the magic of saponification. Tara will make two batches using both fragrances and essential oils as well as herbs/flowers from the gardens. You will learn the fascinating chemistry of soap making, the importance of ingredients and additives, and the basic techniques of the cold process soap making method.
Cost is $54.00.00(plus tax), duration is 2-3 hours with a maximum of 8 for the class. Handouts will be distributed, and everyone will get to take home a bar of cured soap from the boutique! Refreshments will be provided.
