Our soap is made from renewable natural ingredients and produced in small batches using the traditional cold process method. When was the last time you read the label on your soap package? Most soaps that you buy off the shelf are mass-produced and contain synthetic materials such as chemicals, dyes and preservatives. When soap is handmade, it produces a natural ingredient, glycerine. Glycerine is the result of saponification of the oils and is highly moisturizing and conditioning. The glycerine is removed from most commercial soaps. In fact, most industrial soap is therefore not actually soap, but a synthetic detergent bar!
Each type of bar made by Garden Path Homemade Soap offers unique properties. For instance, lavender's features include antiseptic, deodorant, and insect repellent. Lavender oil is calming and valuable for most skin conditions including acne, eczema and psoriasis to name a few.
In addition to being better for your body, homemade soap is also beneficial for the environment. Our soap is made with renewable plant oils, natural ingredients, recyclable paper packaging and our soap is biodegradable.
Homemade bars of soap last longer than most commercial brands. Just be sure to use a slotted soap dish so the bar is not resting in water. They make a great, natural gift that will be used, appreciated and is beneficial!
