Introduction to Soap Making Workshop

Ever wonder how to make soap from scratch? This class involves demonstrations on making homemade bar soap using vegetable oils, lye and water, and learning the magic of saponification. Tara will make two batches using both fragrances and essential oils as well as herbs/flowers from the gardens. You will learn the fascinating chemistry of soap making, the importance of ingredients and additives, and the basic techniques of the cold process soap making method.

Cost is $54.00(plus tax), duration is 2-3 hours with a maximum of 8 for the class. Handouts will be distributed, and everyone will get to take home a bar of cured soap from the boutique! Refreshments will be provided.

What a wonderful experience

This is a very interesting class to participate in. Tara is so knowledgeable and Informative as well as incredibly welcoming . This class was a great way to spend a couple hours with a friend and learn about soap making ( and learn why i personally will be happy to be a repeat customer buying Tara’s wonderful natural chemical free products , rather than taking up another new hobby 😁) it made me understand exactly why the soaps and products are priced as they are . Tara’s husband also contributed to a very interesting talk on his bee keeping , and their honey is also available for purchase . . The retail shop is filled with many choices of soaps and safe chemical free body products ,as well as natural home cleaning products . This was a really excellent and much enjoyed Sunday afternoon and well worth checking it out . Thank you Tara
